There are 11 fields on the form that must be completed before it can be submitted, albeit not all of them are required.
The same form may be used to submit a fresh Aadhaar application as well as to update or rectify Aadhaar-related information. Whenever you apply for a modification to an existing Aadhaar Card, you must provide your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the box provided at the very top of the form.
You simply need to put in the details that need to be corrected in the remaining sections of the paper.
To guarantee that your Aadhaar Enrolment form is authentic, there are a few things you should keep in mind before starting to fill it out.
Obtaining the Adhar EUpdate form is simple. It is accessible at all Enrolment and update centres, or you may obtain it online in PDF format from the UIDAI website.
Because the Aadhaar Enrolment/Correction Form is the same, it is possible to become perplexed as to what information should be entered when making a correction or rectifying a mistake. One should adhere to the straightforward guideline by paying attention only to the details listed below.
The AADHAAR card must be accompanied by a self-attested Proof of Address document in order for the address to be changed or corrected. For children who do not have their own proof of address, a proof of address paper from their parent or guardian is acceptable.
All document copies should be clearly labelled with your AADHAAR number. When self-attesting the Proof of Address paper, make sure that your name is clearly printed below the signatures/thumbprints on the document. The AADHAAR Card Change Request Form and accompanying document copies can be completed and signed with a thumbprint by a parent or guardian on behalf of a child under the age of five.
For a list of approved Proof of Address papers that can be used to apply for AADHAAR card modifications, please see AADHAAR Card Documents Required for Changes (in English only).
Applicants will be required to submit the AADHAAR card change of address or address correction request in both English and the native language of the applicant (except numeric values such as pincode, which need to be entered only in English).
Once your request for a change of address or address correction has been completed, you will be granted an AADHAAR card Update Request Number, which you should keep safe. Keep this number on hand to follow the status of your change of address or address correction request, as well as for future reference.
When you submit a modification request for your AADHAAR card, the information will be validated by a UIDAI representative, and if the validation is successful, the changes will be recorded on your AADHAAR card and the same will be conveyed to you.
